LANE TECH COLLEGE PREP HIGH SCHOOL I know that Joshua Cockrell, who is a teacher at Lane Tech High School has been using his mom's disability placard for over four years, at least. He is now using her expired placard, which expired in 2022. There are over 4,300 students not including staff. There are already limited spaces and the parking lot is chaotic. before and after school. Joshua Cockrell does not care about the disabled at all. The principal Edwina Thompson and other assistant principals at Lane Tech are aware that he is abusing the placard. I have also reported it to Chicago Public Schools ADA Office. o 2021 to 2024 (Present) Lane Tech High School, 2501 W. Addison Street Chicago, Il 60618 Mr. Joshua Cockrell parks there every single day using his mom's expired placard from 7:40 a.m. to at least 3:30. If there is a program after school, he may stay until 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. He continues to park in the handicap parking, which causes parents, student, teachers, and staff who are with disabilities a hardship. He does not care that parents are bringing their children with cerebral palsy to school. He does not care if teachers need to park who are with disabilities. I called the Chicago Police department and once even flagged down a police officer in the parking lot to report the abuse. I asked them to give hi a ticket. They said they did not like to issue tickets to Chicago Public School teachers. I left and returned and the car did not have a ticket. I even called the police again.
