almost perfect

This sign is high quality and exactly as advertised. My only quibble and what keeps me from giving it 5 stars has to do with spacing of the mounting holes. I bought this to replace a 20yr old sign that had faded pretty much to nothing. When I attempted to attach this sign to the 4' tall dark green post (like the ones you might see in a park with a "keep off the grass" sign attached) I found the two holes drilled through the sign were 1/4" too close. No amount of tapping, wiggling, or my feeble attempt at bowing the sign (as advertised this sign is thick and will not bend!) would allow the sign to be mounted with the 3/8" bolts I had purchased. At first I thought maybe these green posts have mounting holes that are different to street signposts - you know, the metal ones that are everywhere. So I walked over to the closest city-owned no parking sign and tried to mount this sign onto that post. Nope, the holes were still coming up 1/4" too close together. I tried a third. Nope, same problem. If this were any other time, I would have contacted customer service to hash out if this sign was drilled wrong. But we're all just trying to get by in 2020, and the last thing anyone needs is for me to be angry over misaligned mounting holes. What would happen anyway? A perfectly good sign would most likely be thrown out and another made? That would totally a waste of resources. So instead I walked to the hardware store and bought the mounting bolts in a smaller diameter. That worked fine enough. I made it work. I wish the connection was a little bit tighter though. Hopefully this was a one-off issue.
