The most expensive No Parking sign in NYC

Bostonians are digging deep into their wallets to buy parking spaces. Just last month, a woman ponied up $560,000 for two parking spots.  What Boston doesn’t have, though, is the “most expensive” No Parking sign. One fellow we talked to last week in Manhattan claims to reign over the ritziest prohibited parking signage in New York City, which broadcasts his message loud and clear to drivers that might just consider parking on his curb.

If New York is the priciest city in the U.S., then this No Parking marker should be the most expensive in the country, right?

To drive his point home, the man made a concrete mold for each letter. This process took hours from start to finish. I don’t know about you, but this version of a No Parking sign would keep me from using his curbside real estate.

This closeup shot shows the fine detail and craftsmanship of the letter stencils.

Anyway, our question for our lovely audience is this: how far would you go to keep someone from parking on your property?  Whether it’s a garage, parking lot, driveway, or curb, we look forward to chatting with you in the comments section below.
