QR Codes being added to Pay-by-Cell Parking Meters in Montgomery

Montgomery County Department of Transportation is adding QR Codes (Quick Response) to its parking meters. A new advent in parking technology, these QR Codes on the meters will help identify the parking space numbers. After the successful adoption of pay-by-cell technology, that is reported to already have more than 163,000 transactions this year, the initiation of QR codes will further shorten the chances of inaccuracy. These practical codes will be a vital step in decreasing the likeliness of human errors while using the pay-by-cell technology.

Together, QR Codes and pay-by-cell technology will make a much viable option.
