Nice strategy, and lesson learned.

I like the stencil, but the 63 mil was too thick for the project, which was a logo on the side of a wooden squirrel feeder; The paint bled through the intricate parts of the stencil, because it was too thick to lay flat on the surface of the wood; I used 2-coat rubber cement to fasten the stencil to the side, and maybe I should have used one-coat, which would have given the same protection, and not subject me to rubbing away the excess cement that was in the area of the stencil to be sprayed...Lesson learned, I should have asked Smart Sign what was the thinest mil they had available, as it would have made to task more maneuverable.
